I really dont know how much someone should eat in a day, or how much a 5'4 female should weigh. Any help?

Personally, I don't ever go by charts as far as what I "should" weigh...body types vary so much that it really just depends on where you are the most comfortable and healthiest.

As far as how much you should eat, that is such a good question. I have just written a book, which includes several sections on "Freeing yourself from numbers" by finding natural ways to regulate your weight. Maintaining a healthy weight shouldn't be too difficult if you can tune into your body, eat healthy foods, and stop eating at the right point (my book also has a hunger and fullness gauge to help identify stages of hunger).

People complicate things because of extremes (such as binging and undereating), but if we just listen to our bodies, nourish them, and stay in balance, we will enjoy a really excellent state of health!
