Trader Joe's

I didn't see a thread for TJ's and I think they have a TON of yummy vegan items that are worthy of review. I may just be blind though, lol!

Here's one of my latest finds.

TJ's Chocolate Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert Made with Coconut Milk:

This stuff is totally awesome! I bought it thinking it would be "meh," but boy, what a wonderful surprise! It's creamy and super chocolatey and just pure yum! It kinda reminds me of the Godiva chocolate ice cream I used to buy, only I honestly like this sooooo much better! This got rave reviews from everyone in my family and will be my go to ice cream from now on. It comes in two flavors, chocolate and strawberry, and sell for $3.49 a pint. It may seem a little pricey, but it's no worse than buying a scoop out. I plan on trying their strawberry this weekend. :)

I want some too!  We don't have a Trader Joes or Whole Foods anywhere near here but we do have GreenStar Cooperative Markets; I guess they wouldn't want to be carrying TJ's anything unfortunately.  I wonder how we can get one or two of those stores down in the Southern Tier of New York.

We don't have a separate Trader Joe's only review, but we do have TJ's brand in a lot of the product reviews (including the nondairy ice cream!) :)

Oh, O.K. :) I'll have to check that out. Thanks, AC!

Would it be all right to have a separate one? I shop there once a week and would love to be able to find all things TJ's in one spot.

Hey TJs peeps. How do their prices compare to WF?

better, but TJs has a smaller selection. Also, apparently their prices vary by region, so there's that too.

wholefoods is a rip... i swear i pay at least $1 more for every item there... mother's is another big HFS around here and is much cheaper...

TJ's has MUCH better prices on food than Whole Foods, but yeah, a smaller selection, but still decent size and growing all the time. :)

Good to hear. I just want to make sure the trip is going to be worth it when the one here opens. Yay TJs!

So, would you all prefer me to take all the TJ's stuff out of the other threads and put it all into one? I just can't make a very good list of other stuff, because there's no online source of all their products.

I would love to have it all in one place if it's possible, especially since they have their own brand. :)

Personally, I'm not sure. I like TJs products mixed in with the others, but sometimes the reviews are redundant because a lot of TJs products are the same as natural foods ones, just in different packaging (like TJs enchiladas & Amy's enchiladas, or their chickenless and beefless strips and Gardein).

Also, the TJs vegan list isn't actually all the vegan stuff they have; when anything lists sugar as an ingredient, they don't list it as vegan by default. When they started compiling the list, they asked manufacturers about the sugar source, but the turnaround on that took forever, so sugar-containing things are listed as non-vegan until they actually get info that it's non-bone char.

Well, you all will have to tell me what you want. I don't have a TJ's, but I kinda like it in with all the other products, because I wouldn't come to check just TJ's stuff. Will go by popular vote! So far,

1 vote for all TJs thread
