I have become a BIG fan of the burritos served at the Laughing Planet Café in Bloomington Indiana 322 East Kirkwood Avenue. They are the bomb, they will make them to order the cafe is wonderful! They get it!!

We try and stop there on what's becoming frequent trips to Indiana University where our daughter attends college.

When I eat at a non-vegetarian restaurant I usually order a baked potato and margarine, and whatever the vegetaable of the day is.  I sometimes order a tossed salad.  This makes a whole meal for me, and I can get my protein at my next meal.  I used to order the portobello mushroom sandwich, but one time I saw them throw the mushroom on the grill where they had just taken a hamburger off.

I liked to get baked potatoes with a side of salsa to go on top. Some places will even let me order avocado. If it's summer, I'm more likely to order a salad.

Szechuan Green Beans (w/ a pint of amber ale since they don't Guiness  :'( - which is vegan in North America, as no fish finings are used in the filtration process)!!!!! Unfortunately they're so good the omnivores gobble them all up and every time I try to order I'm told the restaurant is out of beans. Crazy! Who'da thunk?!

My fallback is a baked potato and side salad. And if they have any sides i can eat.
If its any place i can somehow get sushi then i'm SOO getting veggie sushi.

The pizza place in the plaza I work in does this awesome roasted portabella appetizer with roasted red peppers, olives, and tomatoes. Then i get the veggie deluxe without cheese. I love all the eggplant they put on it to make for the lack cheese.

Falafel, or a vege stack, or delicious cheeseless pizza!

Usually I order a bowl of pasta with olive oil, and whatever vegetables they can find to steam. Short of that, a salad with a loaf bread and olive oil.

Wise readers might notice considerably less tea in the last picture than there was water in the first. Let this be a lesson to you, children: always make sure you screw it closed tightly. Not loosely! Or you will have a tea-filled counter/cutting board. Just saying. Not that I know from personal experience or anything.  Ok, ok, so maybe I DO know from personal experience.

:busted:

Honestly, thanks for the tea glass. It is all kinds of awesome.
