Exclusive J.K. Rowling Interview!
Normally I wouldn't post this at a vegetarian website, but there was a lot of responses in the HP 7 book thread and I wanted to make sure everyone who is a HP lover got to see this!
I should first mention that there are spoilers in this interview! If you have not read the whole book you may not want to read or see the interview!!!
This is an exclusive interview with J.K. on the Today show--part 1 (part 2 will be out tomorrow and I'll post that too!) She talks about things she did not put in the book and also an 8th book on the wizarding world!

and i am so stealing that dumbledore icon lol i'll come back to this post after i've finished the book even though i already know whats going to happen--i really hate people on the internet and in real life that don't care whether someone has finished the book to wait to tell u what happens.

I was wondering the professions of some of the characters after I finished the book. It's nice to have that answered!
Since this is a Harry Potter thread...
I have a co-worker who is at a loss as to why she doesn't get along with her fellow co-workers. She had a loud personal phone conversation this morning talking about Book 7. Most of the people at work listen to the audio book version during their commute, so they won't finish it for weeks. She just spoiled the book for half a dozen people.
It's kind of funny because it's soooo her.
I would have strangled her before she got one spoiler out of her big mouth. To quote Ron, "What a GIT!"

I know! People are so rude about spoiling things for others...especially HP! Book 6 was severly ruined for me only a few days after it had been released! I would never blurt out secerts like that!!! People can really suck!

okay i just finished the book and i'm sorry... i feel a little jipped. the last chapter was great and everything, super fantastic really. the epilogue just kinda... ruined it for me i guess. too much crammed into it with no explaination--thats why i came back to this post right after i was done to read that interview, which cleared some stuff up for me. jeez... :-\
I loved the last book, but found the final scene (harry and Voldy) a bit long winded, and anti-climactic. Arg, villains are supposed to tell the hero why they are so smart, not the other way around!
I was not impressed by the epilouge either, but the interview defintly helped to clear things up--and I usnderstand what JK was saying that there was just too much to put in--hopefully her Harry Potter enclyopedia will be even more encompassing!

Well, J.R.R. Tolkien had appendixes...She really should do an encyclopedia. It allows her to expand upon the world without mucking up the flow of the story.
