I'm rereading The Other Hollywood: The Uncensored Oral History of the Porn Film Industry by Legs McNeil. Awesome book and he also wrote Please Kill Me : A oral history of punk... I'm rarely so into a book... it's so raw, out of the people's mouth. Two of my favorite non fiction books ever.

If you like to read you should try http://www.bookcrossing.com/ . You can trade and find out where people have left their used books for you to pick up and read. It's members are world wide. It's great. That's how I got the book I'm reading now.

I am so joining this site! If you want me to put you down as the person who referred me, let me know your username there :)

An "oral history of the porn film industry" makes me laugh.

I read the description of the book at amazon.  The amazon.com review states that AIDS claimed the life of John Holmes and in the publisher's weekly review it states that John Holmes died because of a mafia hit.

It's a book I'm going to keep in mind to order.  Things that are legal, but disputed, fascinate me.

The Secret Garden, again. Yes, the children's classic. I love it.

By Myself, by Lauren Bacall.

Anne of Green Gable by L. M. Montgomery, another children's classics reader over here.  ;)b

I am also reading Morgen, Findus, Wird Was Geben, attempting to read The Brother's Grimm in German as well, in preparation for the attack on The Simarillion in German.  :o Also throwing in a bit of Janosch. "O Wie Schon ist Panama" is always entertaining.

And yes I'm really about 5-10 years old, despite what I look like on the outside.  ;D

I'm reading The Shack by William P. Young. Not really my thing, at all. But it was a gift from a friend who went to the trouble of finding it and mailing it from the states for me sooooo...I said I would read it. I'm just happy to read anything that isn't for school right now though. Next up: Rape by Joanne Bourke.

I bought last night The Shock Doctrine : The Rise of Disaster Capitalism by Naomi Klein. I'll keep you posted when I'm done. I've heard a lot about it and I've just about everything else she's written, so I'm hoping it'll be a good read.

we read this book for our book club.  I got about half way through.  Everyone says to stick with it and it ends up being good.  I will finish it eventually.

Right now, I'm in chik lit mode, I'm reading Chasing Harry Winston, and then I'm gonna read Twilight

Let me know if this is any good, or at least if it's significantly different from No Logo.  I really liked No Logo, but at the same time had the feeling of "Ok, now tell me something I don't know".  I'd be interested in reading this if it were different from No Logo.
