Actual Apple-Berry Pie

What you need:

2 premade vegan pie crusts
1 (10 ounce) bag frozen raspberries
1/2 (10 ounce) bag frozen cherries
1/4-1/2 cup agave
3 apples, unpeeled and sliced (I used red delicious)
3/4 cups dry oats

What you do:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place bottom crust in pie plate. Thaw raspberries and cherries with sweetener in a bowl, or heat on low on the stove.
2. Layer apple slices in the bottom crust. Grind oats in blender and add to raspberry mixture. This will soak up most of the extra juice and turn the berries into a gooey blob-like substance. Pour this directly over apples.
3. Slice top crust into strips, then layer on top of pie in preferred design. Follow baking directions on crust package, or bake 30 minutes with foil on top, then 25-30 minutes without foil.
Voila!
My husband likes those bad-for-you, sugary pies you get at the grocery store, so he thinks this pie could use more sugar. But if you're like me and you love fruit, you don't need to add any extra sugar! In fact, I use 1/4 cup sweetener. But most people would probably prefer 1/2 cup sweetener, especially if you're making this pie for people who aren't used to fruity (not sugary) pies. You can always ween them off the sweeteners over time.
