I know almost everyone at VegWeb are animal lovers, so I thought I'd share this video with you. If this doesn't show that animals have feelings, nothing will. It's one of the sweetest videos I've seen in a long time. The soldier in the video has just returned from Iraq and it's the first time he's seen his dogs in over a year.

I have a reservist co-worker who has been on active duty three times now. When he's not in Iraq he brings home abandoned dogs. I hope he gets the same reception when he comes home in January. That was awesome.
You know, someone told me once that dogs will start to forget you if they haven't seen you in two weeks, although obviously that memory comes back once the person does. Imagine how that must feel for the dog, to have forgotten someone so important in his/her life, but when that person comes back, the dog's memory is flooded with the recollection that s/he loves this person sosososososo much. That video was so sweet-- it reminded me so much of Big Dog. Did you see that black dog's butt wiggling at 100mph??

My sister sent me the video early in the week and according to her, the guy's wife picked him up at the airport, brought him home but he waited out in the car so she could come in, get the video camera and tape him seeing the dogs for the first time in over a year. What an emotional day for everyone in that family, including the dogs.
