cashews, pumpkin seeds, or pine nuts?
dried cherries or no?
p-butter?
buckwheat? Oats? Whole wheat?
Can't decide and don't have pecans, which is what I really want.
Thanks! :)
Banana bread with peanut butter sounds really interesting.
I went with buckwheat/whole wheat 25:75 , added the cherries, cashews, and a diced apple. I also put in twice the number of bananas so it's really dense and moist. Yummmmm....
Wow! What a nice variation?! I think the peanut butter would be good too. I loooove pb bananas.
good for you, good for going poopies, and yummy :)

I put some of that too-sweet Chinese PB in banana bread as someone here recommended, and it does work but isn't "nutty" enough; maybe I should use more.
BUT be aware PB will make your mixture denser and heavier, and will also bake darker so lower the oven temp about 25 degrees.
Me, I'm old fashioned...chopped walnuts, maybe cocoanut if I have some. Next time I make some I may try craisins.
There is an awesome peanut butter and banana bread recipe on this site. I used chunky peanut butter and it was so good the second it came out of the oven i think the whole loaf lasted about 15 minutes!
