hard to find ingredients

I have a recipe (Dragonfly's Vegan Ribs) that calls for Vegan Beef Broth & Tomato Flavored Bouillon.  I want to make them but last night I went to two stores (Sunflower & Marsh) and couldn't find either of these ingredients.  Anyone know where I should look next?  There is a Wild Oats, I'd have to drive over to it and I didn't want to go if they won't have it either.  Any ideas?

Also, BBQ sauce.  Anyone have a recommendation on that?  All, and I mean ALL the ones at Marsh listed High Fructose Corn Syrup as one of the first ingredients I was hoping for something better.

Thanks for the help!

As the author of said ribs...leave it out.  I have used tamari when I didn't have anything else.

As for sauce...you can make your own.  Ummm look around here there must be something. I know I start with canned tomato sauce, add brown sugar, powdered smoke, tabasco and brown mustard because I am not very creative with sauces, but it works.

Wild oats should have a vegan, no HFCS BBQ  :D sauce and a vegan beef bullion. I use the Better Than Beef brand. I'm not sure about tomato bullion but you could probably use some watered down tomato sauce if you can't find it.

Here is the bullion I use.

The vegan ones are at the bottom the page :)

Annie's Naturals has a BBQ sauce without HFCS. Also, if you have VwaV, the BBQ sauce in the BBQ Pomegranate Tofu recipe is killer!

Thanks LadyDragonfly!  It's good to know if I absolutely can't find it that I can just leave it out or sub tamari.  I did find Vegan "Chicken" broth, I suppose I could use a bit of that.  I think I'll try out Wild Oats to find this BBQ sauce you guys mention, maybe they'll have these other ingredients too.

Thanks everyone!  I wish Indy had better stuff in their supermarkets, sometimes it sucks being vegan here.

I'm not sure what part of Indy your in but my aunt raves about a store called o'malia's. My Kroger's is also pretty organic/vegan friendly and I know they have several of those in Indy.  I like the fact that they have all the organic and 'healthy' items separated so I don't have to search all over the place for my stuff. Here is the site for O'malia's.

I like to use the Bone Suckin' Sauce I find at my local HFS, but it contains honey. I know a lot of vegans don't use honey, but it's a tasty, tasty sauce. A little on the runny side, but not in a bad way at all. Annie's makes a great BBQ sauce that does not contain HFCS

My husband and I just bought the Annie's Naturals regular (not maple) barbecue sauce to use on tempeh.  It was our first time buying barbecue sauce and it was really good!  We were very pleased and made a lot more barbecue tempeh for the freezer!
