call ahead and see if they how they make their beans and rice... if those are made vegan then the possibilities are endless <3

oh and the flour tortillas might not be vegan so u should ask about those, if u don't feel like asking just go for the corn tortillas for your veggie fajitas

My boyfriend and I went to Los Cabos for vacay...
All I ate was beans and chips.
Depends on the restaurant you can get veggies.
Mexican food is not vegan friendly

I eat a lot of Mexican food. So much to choose from. I've ordered the following lard-free, meat-free, cheese-free at restaurants:
-Tostadas loaded with beans, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, corn, avocado, salsa
-Vegetable burrito
-Bean and rice burrito
-Vegetable or black bean/corn tacos
-Vegetable fajitas
-Sopes w/beans instead of meat
-Calabacitas
-Nopales
-Sweet tamales
-Black bean and squash tamales
-Black bean soup
-Fiesta salad(salad greens tossed w/black beans, corn, avocado, tortilla strips, cilantro, salsa

Mexican is my favorite too. I swear Saskia and I must be long lost sisters.

You can eat out at a multitude of places with planning and some effort. Check online for a menu, call ahead and check options and items, go in and be polite, talk to servers, chefs, managers and owners. Cultivate a relationship with them even if it's only one night. The first time go easy, get something from the menu with minimal changes, the next time try something else that requires more effort, if they rise to the challenge keep trying if they fail go back to something basic.

I find it very easy to get great Mexican food, or really any cuisine with that method.

i got the veggie burrito.  is was solid.

it was harder watching my family eat all the stuff i used to love (chili relenos, green chili, etc.)

Wow..maybe I shouldnt give up on mexican food so easily. But, the trick is the Lard. Many restaurants have lard in their beans if you can get without then its good.

Yuk, if I were you I would stay home!  After living in TX I now hate hate hate hate  mexican food.

Can you say C-I-L-A-N-T-R-O?  Hate it hate it hate it and mexican food is marinated and soaked and cooked in that horrid disgusting stuff!  I can't even walk into a mexican restaurant anymore becuase it makes me nauscious!  When I was pregnant I would vomit just driving by one and seeing the sign.  Ugh, I hate mexican food....

I feel bad for you.  You poor thing to be subjected to such torture!   :P  Makes my stomach queezy just thinking of sitting in a mexican restaurant.....ugh....
