Old Tea Bags

Does anyone have any use for used tea bags? I make sun tea and end up with tons of tea bags at a time and I feel wasteful throwing them away.
Usually I would put them in the fridge and then use them on my eyes, but this particular kind of tea has lots of spices in it and burned my eyelids!
Hope someone has some creative ideas, they have to be good for something!
i usually use loose tea but my suggestion for the remains of either is to put them on the compost heap.
You can add them to your compost heap, if you have one....or just put the tea directly into your plant soil. Bust the bags open and sprinkle them, maybe.

You don't even need to break open the tea bag, just mix into your soil...the bugs will do the rest ;)
Indoor plants or outdoor plants?
I was thinking indoor (no bugs to eat baggies...hopefully!)...but either. :D
My ex used to hang teabags on the washing line to dry and then carefully open the teabag (so as not to rip the paper) and remove the old tea and use the paper (with all it's pretty tea swirls) to make little books, like diaries etc. Kinda cool I thought.
Old dry tea leaves have been used since the 1700's to sweep carpets (that's why they must be dry, you don't want stains). Apparently they help catch dust and deoderize as well. Sprinkle them on, leave for a bit and sweep up. This of course was done with a broom; don't know if dragging the leaves across the carpet with a broom is what deoderises. Might try that.
I found this on another site-people having the same discussion about what to do with tea bags!

1. Slap them on the windshield of someone who you don't likes car.
2. Allow to dry.
3. Cackle.

This is great! This would really be effective if you have a lot of wet-used teabags and the person is on vacation, so when they come back they have a windwhield full of old teabags. ;D ;D That is great. I will have to do that to my mom!

What will it do to the paint? ;)
Depends on how hard you try to scrap the residual paper off, I guess.
In other words, see #3.
The tannins in tea help fight the pain and damage from sunburn... so you could always toss them in the bath or get them damp and swab sunburn with them, if you just happen to be burnt.
