It could be poision ivy brought in by a pet. Just an idea. It doesn't sound like your typical food allergy but it is possible. Every one reacts differently
Oh you poor thing. I have had poison ivy once in my life & I had it so bad that I had to be admitted to hospital for 4 days. Afterwards, my doctor told me that because I had such a nasty reaction, that I could actually pick it up on a breezy day....the spores float in the air. I know, it sounds so scary that you don't want to go outside on a windy day but it can happen.
Is it still just your chin & cheek? Hopefully it won't spread anymore.

True. When you breakout with a food allergy it tends to be more distributed over the face neck and shoulders. TO be so localized would be unusual.
Can Tea Tree oil help in cases like this? It's an antifungal and antibacterial. However, unlike normal antibacterials, it does not kill the local "helpful" skin bacteria. I use it for regular allergy breakouts.

I think that might be it. After reading all of the symptoms of food allergies, it doesn't really fit. Our dogs are always getting into the bushes and little corners where vines could be hiding.
Ah! I hate poison ivy! But, at least I can still eat my cheeze sauce! Thanks!
Make sure you wash your dogs really well with something that cuts oil. You don't want a repeat.
It probably is poison ivy but it still would hurt to be tested for allergies (I knew ahead of time about my egg allergy, but turns out I'm allergic to the whole chicken... ;D ;D ;D)
To the tune of "bring back my bonny to me, to me"
My body has calamine lotion,
my bodies as sore as can be.
The flowers I'd chosen for Granny,
tuned out to be poison i-veeee!
I read that in a Mad comic book when I was 10ish and for some reason I've never forgot it... I can't remember my postal code to save my life but this I remember ?!?
If you think you might be allergic to cashews. Try grinding up one or two with a wee bit of water, or dab some cashew butter in the small of your elbow, your inner elbow? (what is that part called?) and see if you have a reaction.

My DH is allergic to poison Ivy and the last time he got it, a friend got him some Zanfel. It is a wash and it stopped the itching in seconds. It is very expensive, but is cheaper that a trip to the Doctor and shots. You can go on line to www.zanfel.com to check it out. By the next day it was gone!!! Don't let it get in your eyes......hope you get better fast.
