Searching for a recipe that is close to the vegan PB cookies at Robeks!

I have been searching for a while now for a recipe that compares to the delicious chewy-peanut-buttery-bliss of the cookies sold at the robeks retail stores.  I LOVE THEM, and am unfortunately... ADDICTED! Please, if you know of a recipe or a place that sells a comparable cookie, clue me in! thank you, thank you.

WAIT... Robek's has VEGAN cookies? Are you kidding me?? I worked next door to that place all summer and didn't know?!  >:(

btw, I like the peanut butter fudge cookies from this site, without the cocoa powder. They're very chewy, not like regular stiff, crumbly pb cookies.

i think she means they are not vegan, which is why she wants a substitute.

these are my fave PB cookies...
i usually cut the white sugar in the recipe a bit and roll the cookie dough in a bit of sugar to giv e the outside a sweet crunch.
but if you make them thicker, they are chewy... prob b/c of the brown sugar.

sooooooo good. a really great standard, easy recipe...

They are vegan, and I love them to death!  I tried the Alternative Baking Company, INC.'s PB cookies and they were good, but too sweet for my taste.  I will try the suggestions. But if any one has more suggestions I would LOVE to get them!  :)

I've never been to Robek's, but I do love peanut butter cookies.  I love the following:

Soft and Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=6480
Big Gigantoid Crunchy Peanut Butter-Oatmeal Cookies (see Vegan with a Vengeance cookbook, p. 199)

PS--You may want to reduce the sugars a little in the recipes, since you know you prefer the cookies to be a little less sweet.

I like most ABC cookies, but they're too sweet for me too.

I still recommend the pb-fudge

And now that I think about it (really really hard), I remember being in a robek's maybe two years ago and seeing vegan cookies. why didn't i buy it, i wonder? i guess i wasn't as much of a foodie then.

I had no idea Robek's carried a whole line of vegan cookies and muffins. So I stopped by today during lunch for a cookie. I tried a chocolate chip cookie and it was, well, OK. Not as moist, sweet and flavorful as the Alternative Baking Company's cookies. But then again this was meant to be a healthy, "power cookie."

I did compliment the staffer there on the vegan selections and plan to go back to Robek's anyway. I'm just thrilled that they have a vegan option and would rather give them my business than a less compassionate restaurant or chain coffeehouse.

Besides the peanut butter flavor, are there any others you recommend?

Huh... I hadn't heard of Robek's before.  I thought y'all were discussing another grocery store that isn't on the West Coast.  I did a search and there's a Robek's by where I live.  In fact, I unknowingly drove past it today.  I can't get there until November, but I'm going to check out their cookie selection and report back.

I have tried all but the oatmeal-raisin flavors, reluctantly, when my robeks has been out of the PB flavor.  None compare to my beloved Peanut butter! pumpin is okay, but has too much of a "health-food" taste in a bad way.
