smoothie?

I need fruit smoothie recipes or really just anything smoothie. I can never make a smoothie that I like but can normally buy ones that are good from places that make smoothies.
One that I've been making most days but probably isn't the healthiest is one with a banana, maybe a Tbsp of peanut butter, and chocolate soy protein mix... wee! It's good but would like to expand my smoothie repertoire! It needs to be good tasting or I won't go for it.
I just made this one up today!

I add a tablespoon of ground flax seeds instead of the EFA oil.
Frozen bananas and vanilla non dairy milk, in my opinion, make the ultimate base for a smoothie, just add whatever else you want... I add strawberries and blueberries, or some chocolate syrup for more of a shake... As long as you have the base, the smoothie is pretty much flawless.
I made a couple delicious ones recently
1. Frozen pineapple+ fresh banana (or....frozen banana and fresh pineapple, whichever) + coconut bliss vanilla bean ice cream + rice milk
2. Hemp milk+agave nectar+ fresh raspberries+ coconut bliss vanilla ice cream+ spoonful (or however much you like) unsweetened cocoa powder + couple squares of a finely chopped dark chocolate bar.
the second one isn't super healthy, but it's gooooooood. ~^_^~
my smoothies tend to be the same principle, just different ingredients because of what I have on hand:
banana (not frozen)
berries (frozen, the more kinds, the better)
pineapple (I usually try to do fresh)
stalk or two of celery (for the fiber)
I like using the mix of frozen fruits with banana because it comes out thick and creamy without needing anything else

Mine are pretty similar, except I use kale or spinach for my greens. Sometimes I'll throw in some carrots.
For liquids I use water or almond milk, if I wanted it creamier (yes).
sometimes, when i'm feeling sassy, i might even put some alcohol in there and make a fruity summer libation, perfect for drinking poolside. sometimes, when i'm feeling fatty, i'll throw in some soy creamer, and/or some vegan froyo, or some sugar, or some chocolate, or some chocolate sauce, or some peanut butter, etc. and make a delicious, frozen dessert, perfect for drinking TV-side.
Trader Joe's has good, cheap, organic frozen fruit. Go there if you can, stock up, and have fun with the combinations. Target also sells large bags of pre-mixed frozen fruit (I like the berry blend). I've been able to find it in the non-Super Targets, too.
Wow thank you all so much! I swear I have never been able to make a decent smoothie before. But, I went with what you guys said and I have been a smoothie making fool. I did run into some flax seed the other day and have been adding it too (though I forgot this morning).
This morning's:
banana
3 chunks of frozen mango
a little ice
very vanilla silk
yum to say the least! I am going to start incorporating some greens too this week.
If you ever get stuck for ideas, you can always just shamelessly rip off Odwalla or Jamba Juice or whoever. ;) My 'usual' is mango, soymilk, and spinach, but lately I've been jonesing for a strawberry-coconut-lime combo. Just grab whatever combination of fresh/frozen fruit catches your fancy, chuck in some mild-tasting greens and some soymilk/iced green tea/juice, and you're set. Smoothies are deliciously hard to muck up.
Thrive by Brendan Brazier has some awesome smoothie recipes in it. He likes to throw in spinach and even romaine lettuce, hemp protein powder, hemp oil, apples, even tahini and ginger, bananas, blueberries, pears, etc. It's gotten me to really think outside of the box. I was skeptical of the romaine lettuce, but it was awesome.

I just flipped though my Thrive book today for smoothie and energy bar recipes. It has some great smoothie recipes ... chocolate almond, ginger pear and some green smoothie recipes too with romaine lettuce or kale.
