Wheat Grass

Ok.  What do you guys know about wheat grass?  I introduced my friend to kale smoothies (and he's in love with them too!), and today he was asking about wheat grass.  Wondering if it would be good in a smoothie...what would it add nutritionally... stuff like that.  I have no idea.  Any thoughts are appreciated. 

I used to add it to green smoothies.  Don't just throw it in though cause it stays stringy.  You have to blend the grass first with water and then strain it and use just the "juice" in the smoothie.  I don't know much about it nutritionally, but I've heard people swear by it.  I never noticed a difference though.

When I was vegetarian I would get plain wheat grass shots at juice places (like Jamba Juice) and I thought they were very laxative-like, in a good way though. This may have been due to what I was eating and the fact that I was not a healthy vegetarian, I'd just skip meat.
