My aunt who is hosting Thanksgiving just told me she's been looking at vegan recipes and offered to make a Lentil loaf! (eventhough T-giving is potluck!!! :o)

that is so awesome!!! Maybe she'll learn something new about veganism in the process, one less question to bug you with. heh.

Hmmm....doubt it. She was vegetarian years ago, but no more. A couple days ago she didn't know that cream of mushroom soup wasn't vegan. It kinda makes me wonder about this lentil loaf.

lotus...thats awesome. before she makes it (like days before) you could thank her for going thru the trouble and casually ask her "oh, what are you putting into it?" and see if there is anything unacceptable. but i bet if she's looking for "vegan recipes" on the web, they are okay.

Yeah, it should be fine. I'm still working on the total vegan thing, so I'm not going to press her about ingredients. She did tell me she got by searching for vegan recipes. I need to ask her the site though...just curious. I'm just excited that she's "going out of her way" to make a vegan dish. My family has always been big veggie eaters anyway, so it's not like no one else will eat it (plus I do have another "veg*n aunt too).
