I bought some of this today (it was $20!!!!) gulp
but so good! You can just eat it off a spoon-tastes like a smoothie. I figure while I am pregnant and breastfeeding it wouldn't be a bad thing to do.
careful, they do make one with fish oil, so you want to get the right one.
I also got some UDO's oil, which has 3-6 and 9 Omegas and have been using that as well. Not eating straight but mixing it in to foods.
I guess I'm on an Omega kick!
I might try this. I have the Udo's oil. But seriously, it causes a gag reflex...I have to chase it with straight lemon juice to get the oily taste away...so this might be a pleasant alternative.

oh yeah, I think you will enjoy this! I could probably drinka while cup of it with no problem. My DH said he thought it would be gone by the weekend (this weekend) and we just bought it today!n its very desserty!
I don't think the Udos has much taste. I've been spreading it on toast and then topping with Earth balance, and then whatever else (cinnamon and sugar or jelly) and I can't even taste it!
Have you tried UDOs oil on a salad as a vinegrette, with some balsamic vinegar. It works well like that.
I think I don't like Udo's because I used to take Barlean's flax oil and I really really hate that flax taste...it kinda gives me the shot of whiskey reaction...gross....so whenever I taste Udo's all I can taste is the flax...arg...I do want to try this one though. I have a bottle of Udo's in the fridge that I hardly ever use and I am sick of taking the flax oil pills.
I blend Udo's into my smoothies and can't really taste it. I am curious to learn more about that Omega-3 Supplement you recommended though. I'd never heard of it before but it sounds delicious. Thank you.
I don't know how much you need to eat for it to fulfill your Omega 3 requirement, but purslane is a plant source of them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portulaca_oleracea I have it growing in my mini-garden and when I can remember to add it to my salads, it's wonderful. Very tasty. It's kind of a pretty plant too once you get over the "weed" idea.

That is fascinating, TT. I read a little about it and want to try to find some. I love plants!
Not the same product, but I just started taking flax oil. I just put it on whatever I'm eating...even toast (like the trad Spanish olive oil and tomato toast, but with flax.)
Question, though: what is the daily dose? The lady in the HFS said two soupspoons full...but our soupspoons are rather big. What say you experienced flax takers?
(Item: don't try to type "soupspoons" on 3 hrs sleep. Difficult.)
I think a soupspoon would be equal to a tablespoon. I think its recommended to take a tablespoon of flax seed oil per day. But, there is no harm in taking more.
Good, because it's delish! I just pour it over whatever I'm eating, like on a bowl of Tofu and Veggies with Couscous (still my VW favourite!) and it adds so much flavour!
I just found out about the omega 3s in purslane (verdulaga). Very cool! It grows wild everywhere around here. I knew it was edible, but now I'm going to cultivate some in a dog-free corner of the yard.
I also just found out that the vine that grows all over my fence is medicinal.
This site is great for those of us in the warmer regions: http://www.rain-tree.com/plants.htm
So flaxseed oil mixed with balsamic vinegar is a good salad dressing? I've been wanting to incorporate flaxseed oil (just more flax in general) into my diet. How much oil with how much vinegar? Any other uses for the stuff, other than for salads?
I kind of like the idea of pouring some flax oil over grains and veggies... I mean, I don't use oil, olive or otherwise, and incorporating any oil would be hard for me. But somehow flax seems more doable.

Yes, Udo's with balsamic vinegar is very good on a salad. Sometimes I blend it with my smoothies or hummus, too.
