Thanks to everyone who mentioned how much they liked Larabars in an older granola bar thread.
I ordered every flavor online (the maya/jocalate ones too) and got them all today and we did a taste test tonight! I only tried 3 but MMM!!! We are so impressed!!!!
Cherry Pie was my FAV! (of the 3 we tried) I can't wait to get through ALL the bars so that I know which to order entire boxes of!!

i got mine on Saturday :) a Cherry Pie, Cinnamon Roll, Jocalat Chocolate and Jocalat Chocolate Coffee. I gave the Coffee one to my boyfriend cuz he loves coffee (and i'm not too fond of it), the chocolate one was yummy and the cinnamon roll was good too. i havent tried the cherry yet but will soon.
i was very surprised how fast they came in the mail!
Mine came today! I got cherry pie, cashew cookie, lemon and apple pie. I taste tested all of them (just a little nibble!) and they were all delish! I am so in love with this company!
PS I also did a lick and stick sculpture out of the packing peanuts. I'm not very imaginative, just did a stick man, but it was fun! ;D

Took my four hour Civil Procedure Exam last night. Around 9:00 (at the end of third hour), I got really sleepy...started nibble on my larabar and I made it through! Go larabar!
aw i also forgot to mention, mine didnt come with packing peanuts, it came wrapped in newspaper
Ooh, I hope mine are shipped quicker than 1-2 weeks... I gave them my dorm address, and if I've moved out by the time I get here, they'll have to forward them home, which will take even longer!
I have just begun training for 10 weeks & dates (#1 ingredient) are absolutely forbidden on the low glycemic index- which is the diet I am following... Too much sugar. A good sugar but... boooo!

Ooh, got mine today! I got the same assortment as Bookmama-- jocolat chocolate, chocolate mint, cashew cookie, and cherry pie. I'm eating the Chocolate Mint as I type-- not bad, but I'd like a little more body and crunch; they're just a tad too "mooshy." I think I'll like the "nuttier" ones a lot more. The flavor is fantastic though. The mint is very subtle-- it's like a Thin Mint, but squishy. :P
Did anyone else eat the packing peanuts?

Cuz uh, they taste like rice cakes.
I think they're made out of corn. I think they're sort of like a spongy, naked Cheeto. So eat away! (Not that you were thinking about it or already ate some) :P
I sent my request in on Friday night and they got here yesterday! I haven't tried any of them yet because I'm sick and want to really taste the flavors.
Side note: the company that ships me my diabetes supplies uses the same packing peanuts (I licked them on Saturday with my new shipment). Now I'm sick and my mother balmes the packing peanuts! The licking and sticking bit was fun though. My mom said "Courtney! What are you doing? WHY are you licking the packing nuts?!?"
I sent my request like 2 weeks ago and still haven't gotten any larabars... :'(
I received mine today (they arrived almost one week after my request): Lemon, Apple Pie, Cherry Pie, and Cashew Nut.
I tried the Cherry Pie. I like.

I haven't experimented yet with the foam peanuts, but am looking forward to it. I mean making figurines, not actually tasting or eating them...I think...we'll see...

I'm also eating my Cherry Pie bar for breakfast as I type. I definitely like this one better than the Chocolate Mint I tried yesterday; it has a lot more body to it. And the tart cherries are a lovely contrast.
I have now finished all of my free Larabars (Cashew Cookie, Cherry Pie, Chocolate, Chocolate Mint) and I have to say that I'd only ever spend money on the Cherry Pie or perhaps the Chocolate Mint, though they were all tasty. The Cherry Pie was my favorite by far.
Has anyone on here tried to recreate Larabars at home? It seems so simple: dates, almonds, cherries. My mom (bookmama) and I are hatching a plan to test this theory sometime soon. ;D
To those who've received the samples already-- Do the larabars ship via ups ground or usps? I'm still waiting for mine and wondering how they're shipping....
