Cabbage

For dinner tonight I just want a quick simple dish of cabbage and potatoes.  I know how I'm going to go about preparing this, but I'm wondering if anybody thinks that adding nutritional yeast to the cooking liquid could turn out ok?  I love NY with potatoes, but have never tried it with cabbage.  Too weird?  Surprisingly tasty?  Opinions, experiences, utter failures?  Please share before I (potentially) ruin dinner!  Thanks!

P.S.  I'm pregnant, so I can't trust my own food ideas anymore!

My husband and I stirfry cabbage and one onion (in a HUGE stock pot), then add a can of diced tomatos and a can of mild saurkraut (rinsed if you like) YUM!
