i just bought a bag of peaches from the farmers market and wanted to try to make cheesecake, i know that this is not a typical topping of cheesecake, but do you think it would be good?
I think this would be a fabulous topping. MMMM I love peaches in summer, especially fresh from the Farmers Market. Let us know how it tastes and what recipe you choose to use!!
Yum! I think that sounds delicious! You could even do a peach and raspberry combo for a topping if you were leery of just doing peaches.
oh good. i thought it sounded fine, but i asked a friend of mine and he went 'blegh! i would never eat that. maybe you should make a smoothie instead' then i started thinking. hmmm maybe it is a bad combination. well im certainly making it tomorrow. thanks for the encouragement!
and raspberries sound like a great addition! i think ill get some at the grocery store tonight.
I like to read the New York Times and Los Angeles Times Food sections, check for any vegan recipes. This 4-ingredient recipe in today's L.A. Times Food section would be great for your peaches, too.

And this one too, if you veganize it with Earth Balance or margarine instead of butter.

I think it sounds AWESOME... please tell us how you make it
.... and take pictures! ;) I will live eat vicariously through you!
I think a cheesecake is best when it's plain or topped with some kind of cherry filling or when it's chocolate.
I say make a peach cobbler instead. But it's up to you in what you like.
saskia! thanks for the recipes. that first one looks super easy. i certainly dont have 3 pounds of peaches (especially after this cheesecake) but i think i might try a smaller version of it. mmmm.
it turned out really good!!! mmmmm
