what's for dinner?

I'm making a middle eastern feast!! Falafel w/ tahini dressing, tabbouleh, hummus, baba ghannouj, stuffed grape leaves, and pita bread. :D :D :D

I can't wait to dig in. Sunday is always a big cooking day for me. I was just wondering what you guys were having.

Reuben sandwiches with Peppered Tofurky, organic sauer kraut, and Whole Foods rye bread with carraway seeds, Terra Chips, organic green grapes, and Peanut Butter ZigZag (Purely Decadent ice cream).

Oh, I am so jealous!  There is a wonderful Middle Eastern restaurant in town that has a "Sampler" appetizer.  It comes with everything you just listed!!  Too bad they are closed on Sunday...I suddenly have a freakishly strong craving.... ;)

Never made them before so this is sorta an experiment.. brown rice, black beans, onions, and chopped cherry tomatoes is what I've thought of so far :}

We just had stuffed zucchini and it was very yummy!! The presentation was beautiful until my daughter (age 3) dumped out ALL of the filling from her serving and then gobbled up the entire zucchini 'shell' right away. All of that work and she would have been just as happy to have it all scrambled together in one big heap!! Oh well, at least she ate it  :)

I wanna go to tanevabs house. I've been craving that stuff all week.

Tonight it was a spicy mung dal and eggplant soup (go Indian cookbook go!), a salad (light on the greens, heavy on ever other veggie we had in our fridge) and a whole grain baguette.

My daughter viewed it as tomatoes, ad other stuff she had to eat in order to get more tomatoes.  :)

I baked some bread for lunch today. And I made apple pie for dessert. But, I went out to eat at a Thai place (about the only place with a potentially vegan option). I had fried tofu ... it was fried in some kind of bean sheet. Not sure how to describe it, lol. And it was over a bed of veggies. Quite yummy.

All of your dinners sounded so good.  I had to work tonight so for me it was the stand-by of pb&j, a pear, carrots, green pepper sticks and an organic cc cookie.  Unoriginal but still satisfying.

Pizza.  Half mushrooms and bell pepper/Half garden fresh tomatoes and basil

I added oregano and basil to this pizza crust dough, and a little merlot to the pizza sauce.

My best pizza by far.

Using the leftover Gimme Lean from yesterday's housewarming brunch to try MaggieSweet's Soy-sausage pasta casserole (thanks VegWeb for helping me use that up!) Oh! And some of wicked's Tempeh breakfast casserole (also leftover, also thank you VegWeb)

I'm going to make the Korean Seasoned Potatoes from this site (I don't have the link off hand. Gotta go looking for it), and leftover Korean eggplant from the other night. It's just me tonight. But I decided to cook something good, instead of "freezer diving" again (we have a huge chest freezer). I got in the mood for Korean food, so that's what I decided on.

Tonight is tamarind soup, a fresh from my garden tomato & cucumber salad, and leftover pita w/ baba.

I spent all day painting and can't wait to sit down to a nice meal.
