Picking EG winners: which do you prefer?

And by "very high numbers," I mean we play and play and it just seems like it will go no where else. I vote for playing game out until high numbers and then poll with 1 vote (option 2). I would like to see if we can play the bean game out with just votes, but high number poll would be fine too.
I like the multiple vote system. We already know which one or two things reign supreme by the voting. It's interesting to see what people generally like. Like in the fruit game, people liked watermelon until y'all started posting about it to skew the votes. I thought that was interesting.
That's my least fave! I think that works for like which fruits do you like..not for which 1 fruit WINS, because the multiple votes have equal weight. You should vote though..if that's what you want.
eta: and I think the actual + - voting is more for what things do you really/generally like and want to see in the top (more than 1 or 2 things usually), and then the final thing should be for WHICH ONE WINS.
That way works, too. Total victory. It's not as interesting, but it's definitive. I mostly think it's funny that veg*ns are so passionate about our food stuffs. During the elimination games I have pain when I see a good food item crash and burn, which makes me smile at myself.

another option (though i didn't vote for 'other') is a write-in of multiple votes, ranked. that way the votes can be weighted.

I suggest instant-runoff voting or exhaustive ballot (basically the same thing, but non-instant). Also see http://www.fairvote.org/what-is-irv.
Note that "polling with 1 vote" is plurality voting (see http://www.fairvote.org/Comparing-IRV-With-Plurality-Voting). Though I don't know the general name for "polling with more than 1 vote", if the maximum number of votes equals the number of options, it becomes approval voting (see http://www.fairvote.org/irv-versus-alternative-reforms).
