Kinda Quick, Kinda Perfect Baked Tofu

What you need:

1 1/2 teaspoons tahini
1+ tablespoon nutritional yeast
1/8 teaspoon good sea salt
1 tablespoon shoyu soy sauce
1 good squirt garlic chili sauce (I use Sriracha), to taste
1+ tablespoon roasted garlic and peppercorn marinade (I use Drew's)
1/2 teaspoon dulse (I use dulse with garlic granules)
liquid smoke, to taste
1 (14-16 ounce) container extra firm tofu (I like SoyBoy), drained and sliced in 1/4 inch slices
spray olive oil

What you do:

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. In a shallow glass or glazed ceramic container, whisk together all the ingredients except tofu. Put the tofu in the marinade, flipping each piece to coat each side. Layer the pieces in the bowl, overlapping if necessary.
2. Cover with a paper towel or cloth and microwave for 3-4 minutes, depending on your microwave. The tofu should look a bit puffy and beige.
3. Spray a cookie sheet with olive oil. Place the slices in a single layer, and bake for 20-25 minutes, turning over half way through. It should be smaller than when it started baking, and a good texture.
This turned out to be really pretty wonderful. It'd probably be good as jerky, too-just bake it for longer, turning every 10 minutes or so.
Source of recipe: I wanted some baked tofu for a sandwich, and this is what I came up with.

SO HOW'D IT GO?

Wow! This is the best tofu recipe so far! I didn't have the Drew's marinade mentioned, but everything else was fantastic! It was kinda bubbly and puffy when it came out of the oven, and I put it on salad, in a pita, and with rice. This is now my every week basic tofu. Thanks.
