Spiced Tea

What you need:

4 cups water
2/3 cup soy milk
3 orange pekoe tea bags
3 tablespoon sugar
12-14 black pepper corns
16-18 whole cloves
6 cardamom pods
1-2 cinnamon sticks (depending on size)
(ground spices do not work too well, sorry!)

What you do:

This is a variation of Indian Spiced Tea.
Crush spices with mortar and pestle, I do them separately to make sure that the cardamom seeds get crushed too. Put spices in a sauce pan, then add water and soy milk. Bring to a boil. Cover and let stand 10 mins. Then add tea and sugar (more or less depending on how sweet you like it, 3 tbsp makes it pretty sweet!), letting stand for 3-5 minutes (depending on how strong you like your tea). Remove tea bags, strain and serve. If you want extra spice, you can bring it to a boil again. Also reheats well.
(I quadrupled the spices recommended to me, you can adjust as needed, though everyone I introduce it to likes it super spicey too!)
