Creatine??

I know it's not really super-related to veg/vegan eating, but I'm a vegetarian trying to build muscle.  I'm already doing the "clean" protein bars w/o any junk protein in them, but I'm starting to consider creatine.  Any adverse things about it that I should know?

I think most creatine is animal derived FYI...

Creatine, like any amino acid in excess, can cause kidney damage.

It may be good to use in moderation for someone who is losing muscle due to illness or age, but I would be very wary of it in the quantities usually used for body-building purposes.
