I feel like crap again

tired, achy, headcold- ugh! I used to be someone who NEVER got sick, now I have this cold after having the flu just a month ago & having some kindof flu thing over the fall!

I know how you feel--the flu/cold thing up here (Michigan) has been the same way--it just lasts forever! It took me about 3 weeks to get over a minor cold and I'm still a little sniffilly :( hang in there Lisa!

I just feel like I've been getting sick alot lately.... and it seems that the healthier i eat the more i get sick. Is there something I'm doing wrong??

Things important to immunity which are sometimes overlooked by healthy eaters: protein, orange and dark green veggies, and sufficient fat and calories.

Excess exercise can weaken immunity.

An extra 10 pounds can help immunity a lot (whereas an extra 50 won't)

I just feel like I've been getting sick alot lately.... and it seems that the healthier i eat the more i get sick. Is there something I'm doing wrong??

You have my deepest sympathy!  I got back home Wednesday (3/19) after spending about a week in Big Spring where we buried my Dad on the pervious Thursday and I spent the rest of the time driving my Mom around to appointments.  I was fine health-wise there but there's something I'm allergic to here!  My eyes started itching and my nose running.  Now I think I've picked up another infection (green snot) and it hadn't been very long since I beat the previous sinus infection.  Maybe it was still there but not very widespread.  I think I get enough protein and I make it a point to include carrots, sweet potates, kale, spinach and other super-veggies in my diet.  I think stress lowers your immunity and the past two weeks have been ultra-stressful.  :'(

Have you tried VitC with Zinc?  They help me when I'm starting to feel unwell...in fact, it's the only bottle of pills I've ever finished...

Maybe you need to add some super foods like goji berries, pomagranets, flax and chia seeds, etc. Or maybe you're just tired and need some sleep and nice sunny weather! Cheer up sweetie!

I just picked up this book called "The Thrive Diet"  I think it is going to help me eat better.
