Reusable Snack Bags

I'm really into using reusable shopping bags and such, but since the school year has started I'm using plastic baggies more and more to take snacks and lunch to school (and work).
I've been trying to find some good sandwich/snack baggies online, but am having a difficult time. I was wondering if anyone here at VW has bought any reusable sandwich/snack bags that they recommend?
I use containers (gladware, pyrex, tupperware) instead of baggies. I only use/reuse baggies if I've gotten them from someone/where else. If I'm taking something that needs to be heated, I try to use the glass pyrex. Just pack 'em up and put them in your backpack! :)

That's what I do. I buy the vacuum seal kind and reuse them until they get really stained or smell funny. I try to stick with reusable containers or recycled aluminum foil, but sometimes baggies are more convenient.
That's me exactly. I have reusable containers, but also some zippy bags, which I use and use and use, until they can't be used anymore. I also reuse empty plastic bread, pita, or bagel bags. Does that make sense? I just clear them out of crumbs, and I'm set to go! (For larger items)
I do the same thing, Laurabs. Either that or plastic grocery bags, even though those are becoming more and more extinct in our house. And soon, I think they won't even have it in supermarkets. In Nova Scotia, they charge for the plastic bags. I thought they did the same thing in Ontario, as well?
But yeah, I reuse old bread and pita bags and use tupperware containers. I should check the adresses that Sharway gave for those reusable bags. I have actually never heard of that, funny as it may seems.
Some stores here do charge for plastic bags, but that's their own choice. I wish the provincial government would make it mandatory everywhere though...

I reuse plastic bags too...just clean and hang upside down to completely dry out. My mother used to even hand them on the clothesline between our underwares. it was quite embarrassing to us.
There are also wax paoer bags.
If you are using plastic containers tho, dont put them in the dishwasher to clean...the heat is what degrades the plastic.
I reuse my ziploc sandwich baggies. I just turn them inside out, wash the now outside, and dry em in my dish rack. I HATE throwing plastic bags away. Hate it...
Yeah, I'm trying to phase out plastics, so I tend not to use the plastic baggies much anymore, but for crumby things, you don't really want to use a mesh bag, you know? These days I just try to pack everything in my metal tiffin, which has enough compartments for main dish and a couple of sides/snacks. It's kind of big, but I pack enough food for two days and just leave it at work overnight.

why not get the kids a bento set? they have some really cool carriers for those!

i LOVE the wrap mat! its so awesome. but it really only fits a standard size sandwich. but you can also fit in there two wraps or two burritos or anything else that takes up the same space as a sandwich. its super easy to clean and you have a plate to eat it on!
What kind of bento box do you guys have?
i got my bento box off of ebay for 11$. its rather small though, but keeps my portions under control. i would just so search on ebay to find one you like!
I got mine at a garage sale for 5 dollars. It is a zojirushi lunch jar. It has four little containers in it. It looks small at first, but I discovered I can cram more than enough food in there for a good-sized lunch and a snack or two later in the day.
