I know it says to use a liquid sweetener but is there something else I can use instead? Would it work with brown sugar or not so much?
Lenorre added a comment on the recipe Mango and Coconut Cake:
This was pretty good. I added cranberries instead of mango because I didn't have any. I also subbed some of the oil with apple sauce which worked well; it was still very moist.

I can't believe I forgot to review this!! It was SO good! I made it right before running off to work (which happens to be a lovely little organic cafe with vegan/veg and GF options).
Mmmmmm midnight student dinner delight! This is really yummy. I tweeked it around a little and followed basically nisawong's measurements.

These sound great!! But can I replace the semolina with anything? I was thinking fine corn meal or cream of wheat? Thanks!

So good! I used whole wheat flour and 1/4 unsweetened apple sauce for the egg replacer (mostly because I couldn't be bothered to make a flax egg).

We do something similar to this at my work place. We add ginger though.

Do you think this would work with just some tomato/veggie juice instead of the chopped tomato? This sounds super yummy, I just don't have any tomatoes.
