Big Corporately Organic: Who Owns Who

Eep. It looks like I'm going to be the not so great news fairy here. *Slips on pink tutu and grabs magic pasta wand*

Mars owns Seeds of Change, and also tests on animals (check out www.marscandykills.com). That's just one thing I've noted real quick.

For something more pleasing to look at, independent brands are shown in a chart, here: http://www.certifiedorganic.bc.ca/rcbtoa/services/corporate-independent-brands.html

Unfortunately, EVERYTHING is owned by evil dudes. I didn't know that pepsi owned naked juice, though. Thanks for posting.

Not EVERYTHING...they'll never take away my intergalactic apple tree! It would be nice if the image showed up a little more legibly so people didn't have to click through...

This very much made me laugh good sir.

I know more die-hards have been pushing for local sustainability.
I big corpwhores got their footsies in the door, organic as other natural cosmetics and 'boutique' goods market themselves and typically have higher profit. Its a no brainer for them.
