unless it's a team i actually care about, i just root for who is behind at the time.. then hopefully they catch up and it makes a good game.  then i root for the other team to make a great comeback.. it goes back and forth like this the whole time..

Huge Eagles fan; grew up in PA. Would like nothing more than to see this matchup. (Even if this matchup would spell the demise of State College, Pennsylvania, where PSU is located.)

That said, the Steelers and the Chiefs are my two AFC teams. As the Chiefs were out of it after Week 1, I will happily throw my support for this matchup.

PS (from the open letters thread)--Courth, just imagine how much less tension they'll be in your house now that the Eagles are out of it.

LB loves the Steelers.  So he is thinking of having a Superbowl party.  Oh man.

didnt the steelers and eagles play a superbowl a couple years back?? or was it the playoffs?? i remember at iup there was a HUGE football ... ummm.. battle?? between eastern pa kids and western pa kids.  it was pretty harsh.  and i think the eagles won.  made me proud to be an eastern pa'er

They play every few years. In fact, they played this year. (I forget the outcome... think the Eagles won) During the 2004 season, when the Eagles finally got to the Super Bowl, it was Steelers v. Patriots in the AFC Championship. My brother was at Penn State and was concerned an Eagles/Steelers Super Bowl would have made the University (located in State College) implode--all those Eastern PAers and Western PAers so close. We really are two different states...

I never thought of them as rivals--in fact, in WWII, they combined as one team for awhile. But then again, I didn't go to school right in the middle of the state.

Steelers here!!!  I grew up in Western Pa, but now am in college on the Eastern side...
