Talk about scare tactics!

Ok, so just how gratuitous is this?

Let's just scare the bejaysus out of anyone who might be sitting on the fence considering composting as a way to start "going green"!!

It makes me mad because I know a lot of people who get their "news" from Yahoo! first. Not that I think that's smart...it's just that way.

Yeah.  And what about a blerb at the end about what precautions to take if someone were interested?

Well, the article did say that he may have been vulnerable due to smoking and welding and that he may have had an undetected immunodeficiency and that acute aspergillosis after contact with decaying plants is rare, but the title is so sensationalist:  Garden Biohazard: Man Killed by Compost.  Yabbit's absolutely right, it is going to "scare the bejaysus" out of some people.  They're going to miss the point that it is a rarity, I'd even go so far as to say a freak occurrence, and avoid composting.

I'm still going to get a compost soon.
Take that, Yahoo news.

so weird.. when i clicked on the link i got to take a survey about Yahoo News! it asked how good it is, how it compares to an "ideal" news source, etc. and there was a comments section! what good timing.
