Save Millions of Farm Animals From Tiny Cages!

October will begin an amazing ballot initiative in California to outlaw the cruel confinement of veal calves, egg-laying hens, and breeding pigs. Currently, these animals are kept in such small cages on factory farms that they cannot even turn around. See http://hsus.org/farm/ for more information.

WE NEED YOUR HELP to gather 650,000 signatures in the state in a period of five months (starting October 1st) in order to get the measure on the ballot!

Regional Coordinators Needed!

Dedicated volunteers are needed who are willing to take a leadership role in the upcoming ballot initiative to ban cruel factory farm cages! These leaders will help to coordinate volunteers in their area and research locations and festivals that would make good signature gathering locations. The following are a list of cities in San Diego county that need coordinators:

We need your help to make this ballot initiative a success! Please feel free to pass on our alerts, flyers and announcements to anyone you think will be willing to help. The only way we can win is if everyone who cares about the cruelty on factory farms steps up to help put an end to it!

If you are in San Diego, please help us distribute this flyer about the San Diego kickoff event. Simply download it and print it (black and white copies are fine). Many natural foods stores and community centers have bulletin boards or other areas for literature.
