The Smiths. In particular, "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out".
Good choice there.
Neon Indian's "Polish Girl".
Nice pick.
A Place To Bury Strangers
Bratmobile "Bitch Theme". :D
Enya and some Chankkah music
George Strait - I can still make cheyenne
Folk music.
Just got back from a show. Saw the Alabama Shakes. Easily one of the best performances I've seen all year.
"Immigrant Song" as performed by Karen O. (of Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and Trent Reznor (of Nine Inch Nails). The rework of this song is dark, dirty, raunchy, violent, tense, sexy, exhilarating, and orgasmic.
I'm also listening to the new music from the score for the upcoming movie, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
Ok. I'm now switching to dance-ish M83 and Washed Out.
I have the house to myself and because I have no friends to go out with..I'm cranking the music. I might even get drunk while cleaning the house and dancing. It's a double-edged sword being a loner as myself.
Mac Dre pandora station.
Currently playing: E-40 - Sideways
E-40? Ghost ride the whip! lol!
I'm listening to new music by The Black Keys.
now gas, break, dip! shake them dreads! LEMME SEE YA SHOW YA GRILL!
hahahaha, I love E40

:-D Watch 'em sway! Go stupid (dumb dumb)!
I remember when I first heard that song, I had no idea what a ghost whip was or what "gas, break, dip" meant. Luckily Nelly taught me what a 'grill' was. Something about a grill, a white t-shirt and air force ones? Hahahaha!!
The Shins, Foster the People, The Belleville Outfit
Been listening to Christmas music at work lately but I am getting a little tired of it.

Ouch.
I've been listening to Jay-Z. I'm gettin' my swagger back. Haha! I love his song, "Off That" and these lyrics:
"Tell Rush Limbaugh to get off my balls. It's 2010, not 1864!"

I've had this on repeat all morning. My god, the bass is to die for.

Also, sorry to bombard you guys, but I saw this live last Friday night. It was so awesome.
Also, funnily enough, my best friend (in Baltimore) went to high school with Baths. As in, in Socal. Weird, small, world.

I like Christmas music but am getting sick of it after listening to it at work for a few weeks. Maybe time to change the radio station to one that doesn't play all Christmas music?
Nice picks, IdrilAsphodel. I like the whole song by Purity Ring but I couldn't get into the vocals on the Baths' song. The music on the Baths' song was great and the art in the video was amazing. Anyhow! Bombard away. What else you got? :)

No holiday music for me. It's just toooooo cheesy and manufactured. But because of the ear worm capabilities, I end up singing the holiday music...in my own way. I'll combine lyrics into one song or I'll make up my own lyrics or I'll purposely sing it WAY out of tune...even in public. It usually irritates people but isn't that the best way to spend the holidays? Hehe!

eta: Shortly after I posted this, I was singing "White Christmas" with my sister. I hate snow so I changed the lyrics to "I'm dreaming of a sunshine-filled Christmas." My mom accused me of being anti-Christmas. lolol!!! I'm such a heathen. :P
