You are here

What are your go-to movies?

What are the films you have watched again and again and still enjoy?
What films do you turn to on a bad day, or when you're in bed with the flu, or just want to be entertained?
What films do you never get tired of?

My absolute favourite is Vanya on 42nd Street.
My comfort films are Babette's Feast and Moonstruck.
I know huge chunks of these three by heart.

For "just entertainment", a select few classic musicals, or anything with Bogart in it. And Marianne Sagebrecht's films.

sometimes i just wanna make up my own lines!

Improv!! Love it!

My problem is that I speak in quotes from books and movies. People think that's weird...they oughta be inside my head. Sitting there quietly munching a salad and suddenly in my head I hear:

"We'll sell the house. If you and Johnny got married, moved in, had a baby...
"I love this house, I wanna live here. Pop. Don't. Like. Johnny."
"No, he don't."

If nothing distracts me the entire scene will play itself.
Yeesh.
