Vegetable Tempura
Soups and Salads
Alphabet Soup
Black Bean Soup
I didn't like this one served as directed. The lime juice (and the vegan sour cream, if using) make the soup kinda sour, and it was really brothy. Not at all like the thick, hearty black bean soup that I'm used to. I ended up adding chipotle hot sauce and crumbled tortilla chips to soak up some of the broth, and it was pretty good that way! Wouldn't make again. (kristinv)
Creamy Black Bean Soup
Green Salad
Caesar Salad with Sourdough Croutons
French Onion Soup
Very good! Only made a few small changes. Used two not-beef bouillon cubes in 5 1/2 cups of water instead of vegetable stock. I also don't have oven-proof bowls, so I just melted Daiya on the bread slices in the oven and served it alongside the soup for dipping. The caramelized onions were sweet enough on their own, so I don't think it needs the teaspoon of sugar. I will probably leave it out next time. Also added extra black pepper, and that seemed to help tone down the sweetness. (kristinv)

I had this a while ago and I remember it being rather watery. Not my favourite. (dannibazaar)
it was VERY easy and quick and had a great flavor! I did the salt, pepper and cayenne to taste, so it definitely had a little "kick" to it, loved it! (stacydan)
Fettuccine Alfredo Two Ways
Sauce 1
Sauce 2
Dilla
Linguine and Chunky Marinara Sauce
Filet O Tofish Sandwiches
I was disappointed by these. I was hoping for something a little more flavoursome. I also had some trouble getting the breadcrumbs to stick onto it. Because the marinade is just kelpy water I made them again upping the amount of kelp powder and added some lemon juice and soy sauce, and had to increase the amount of tartar sauce to make up for it. but they were still not all that. I shall persist though! perhaps having some nori wrapping the tofu would get a greater fishy flavour? (vanilladoe)
Fool Your Friends Tacos
I made these for my boyfriend and myself, we polished the lot between us! It's a basic recipe but very tasty (vanilladoe)
