protein/vitamin powders

i really need to lose some weight. 5 - 10 pounds would be great. and i want to try replacing atleast one of my meals with a shake

but i still want to be getting vitamins and protein. does anyone know of any protein powders that don't taste disgusting?

my boyfriend uses Nature's Plus Energy Shake and i'm going to try that tomorrow. i was just wondering if anyone knew of any that were really good

thank you

The protein powders in the big canisters can be pricey ($14-20 I think) so I usually just buy soy protein powder in the bulk section, and it's nice too because it doesn't have all the added 'extras' like bee pollen, extra vitamins (I already take a multi, so don't want to overdo it), sugar, flavoring, etc. I know that there's individual packets too though,so you may want to try those before buying a big can . The only brand I can think of is spirutein and I'm not sure if it's vegan. I also buy in bulk because I don't go through it fast enough, and it's always expiring before I know it!

I really enjoyed the Aria Women's Protein powder, the vanilla flavor one, that  I bought at Trader Joe's. One serving is two scoops, but one scoop did the job for me when I made strawberry banana shakes. It's a sweet vanilla taste so you don't even need to add sugar to your shake.

It's vegetarian though. I'm suggesting it cause there are some on this board who are not vegan.

Since I'm going the vegan route, I have since replaced my canister of Aria with Soy-Free Veg by Naturade. It's vegan. I just bought it and will let you know how it tastes.
