Hate Poll: How Much Do You Hate Rachael Ray?

I really, really hate Rachael Ray. I'm not a good enough writer to really put it into words. That would take Shakespeare. >:(
She's everywhere. She's ruining my life because I can't watch the Food Network for five minutes without seeing her phony, grinning, sellout face leering at me. She represents all that is wrong with this country, this planet, this solar system, this galaxy and the whole MF-ing universe. She is evil incarnate.
Help me to vent my white-hot hatred of her by contributing your own virulent tirades against the woman, the brand, the hellspawn Rachael Ray here in this thread.
i still agree with whoever noted that we should ask them to do a all vegan iron chef. watch them sweat. i really think most cooking shows are like dead animal, prepared the same way but this time we'll use cumin and it will be different. BLAH.
That's actually one of my DREAMS!!! To go onto an Iron Chef type show, and cook the entire meal veggie/vegan!!! I think it is funny to watch experienced chefs get a blank look on their faces when you tell them you're veg.
I was channel surfing this afternoon and she was making some soy sauce/orange marmalade glaze for pork chops ( :P ) and started talking about tamari. She said she likes it better because "it's richer tasting, but it's made out of wheat while soy sauce is made out of, well, soy." ??? Read the ingredients, dude...
I was flipping the channels the other day and lingered on Paula Deen and she was cooking 'lighter' so she apologized to her viewers for not starting off the recipe with 4 sticks of butter and half a bucket of mayonnaise like they're used to.... um, she should be a spokesperson for lipitor-- I bet her fans all have majorly high cholesterol! :-X
What most annoys me about Rachael Ray is her harsh raspy voice-- she always sounds like she's trying to auction off fish at the market ;D

I think she sounds like she smokes four packs of Lucky Strikes every day. She could do the voices of Patty and Selma on "The Simpsons".
Yeah, it really sucks that she's such a 'brand' now-- but basically Oprah picked her to be her white counterpart. Oprah is supposed to retire soon too. Rachael's show is produced by Harpo. Anyways, I wonder how much more botox she'll pump into her face and collagen into her lips-- she's kind of got a 'duck' face now and before she was kind of cute. She just looks so fake and plasticky and ugly now.... not that she was beautiful before. But she didn't look 'worked on' lol.... I read somewhere that she thought kids would get in the way of her career ( aka $$$ potential). That's a pretty selfish thing to admit to ???

Actually, I think quite the opposite. I say good for her for realizing that she doesn't want children over a career instead of having them, anyway, and then neglecting them. Children aren't for everyone, and I think it's wonderful when people can admit that they wouldn't make a good parent, they don't desire them, they have other goals that don't coincide, etc.
I think parenting & having children can be a really beautiful thing, but not if you don't want them! :) In my opinion, planning to not have children is a great choice if she'd rather be really ambitious with her career. What I would consider selfish is if she already had children, then decided she'd rather be famous, rich, single, whatever & then ditching out on them to pursue other things. :-\
I agree with Pearmuffin 100% about her voice. She may be the nicest person in the world for all I know but her voice just cuts right through me. I had the FoodNetwork on one day and Rachel Ray's show just came on without me being aware of it. After about 5 mintues of her voice, I suddenly found myself reaching for a #2 pencil to drive into my left temple. Fortunately, before I committed such a violent act, I realized it was her voice and not mental illness making me grab sharp objects. I'm sorry...I just couldn't listen to her voice long enough to gather any valuable food information. That said, I do find her facially cute.

i agree with her decision about having kids...she shouldnt be condemmed for questioning motherhood and untimately choosing not having a child. i dont think its selfish to decide that. too many women and couples fall into the "american dream" and just have babies and live in suburbia and find out years later that they are miserable and have made their children miserable at the same time!!! ;D

what the hell does she do that measures up to anything oprah does? RR is just a brand, not a human. ;D and i hardly seeing her opening up any schools in africa.

I was over at my grandma's house visiting earlier today and RR's show came on. I couldn't get her to turn the tv off so after about 15 minutes of pure hell I finally told my grandma I had errands to run and left. See what RR makes you do!!!...Lie to your grandma.
BTW this week she made a three mushroom rigatoni. The mushroom/tomato sauce was totally vegan and looked really good!

"Man hands" is nothing.. as I sat down just now to have a little b-fast, I turned on the TV and was greeted by RRs "talk show" and a heaping handful of her cleavage .. at 9 AM!

Actually I'm Italian and I have creepy boney long fingered hands :) My mom however has much shorter stockier hands than me (but not man hands). Maybe it has something to do with cooking most of your life? ;)
