i HATE beets! There so healthy for you though :-\ . I try to cut them up real small but its always a struggle (I eat them raw).
Just curious ...do you have any veggie that no matter what its hard to eat? What about fruit.
Least Favorite
Veggie-Beets
Fruit- Oranges (I LOVE clementines though)
Least fav veggies: Fennel, brussel sprouts and asparagus. Yuck! I didn't like spinach as a kid either. But my mom used to buy the mushy canned stuff and used to force me to eat it. Now I love spinach, because I use fresh spinach and I bearly cook it (so it doesn't get mushy) or eat it raw in salads.
Least fav fruit: Water melon.
Least fav veggie: Mushrooms... ick, except portabellas... weird huh?
Least fav fruit: Apples (unless they're cooked or baked in something) and pears
Least favorite veggies: Cauliflower. Cilantro gives me a stomach ache so just thinking about it makes me cringe. Yay! I can join the cilantro-haters group!
Least favorite fruit: Oranges. I love fresh orange juice, but I don't like the texture of oranges.
It's good to know other people have the same dislikes as me; mine are:
Vegetable: cucumbers
Fruit: watermelon, or any melon, really!!
All of the above makes me burp all day and I just don't like the flavor, period
Finally, someone else that doesn't like cucumbers!
As everyone here mentioned melons, it reminded me that I should have included that on my list as well. I like cantelope, but any other melon is mealy to me. Ick.
Least Favorite Veggies:
Beets (taste like dirt), avocados (I'm allergic), and portabello mushrooms (this one is weird because I'm willing to eat other kinds of mushrooms).
Least Favorite Fruits:
Melons (except watermelon) and papaya. I think Papaya is so sick tasting (figuratively but actually also literally. i think it tastes like puke!) and you could not pay me a lot of dollars to eat honeydew melon or cantaloupe. Yucky yucky yucky.
I just have to say, everybody is so funny! It IS strange how a lot of you have similar likes and dislikes. Everybody seems to have their "thing." As for me...
Fruit: I don't like passionfruit (flavor) very much (I don't actually think I've ever SEEN a passionfruit), But I'll tolerate it. Same with banana. I have an aversion to banana flavoring. But I'll tolerate it. I'll eat a raw banana as long as I have enough peanut butter.
Veggie: BEETS are not ok. I'm also not crazy about cooked greens. Particularly spinach and kale. I do ok if they're raw, but cooked and slimy....eeeeeww. They belong in the black lagoon. I use fresh spinach in my spinach dip.
ps I love raw garlic.... luckily my S.O. does too!
I like allmost all vegetables and fruits. I really had to do some thinking to make up some, I don't like. So I figured out that I don't like mushrooms of any kind. Neither do I like olives. Green ones will go, but black ones are awfull.
Fruits: I like all that I have tasted so far. Only once I tasted something that was called a perry-apple and it was really weird. But it was also propably a bit raw.
least favorite veggie: probably cauliflous, but i eat it anyway.
least favorite fruit: any type of melon. blech
Veggies: Peas, brussel sprouts, and parsnips. I keep trying all of the above to see if my tastes have changed, but not so far
Fruit: melon as many have said, also pears. I think I am the only person I know who doesn't like pears!
I hate beets too -- and brussel sprouts! I love most everything else.
Yeah, i think to really appreciate brussels sprouts, you have to have them from fresh. The ones in the box or frozen are not good, ick.
I have a friend who didn't like broccoli until he had it at my house. i think he was just familiar with that overcooked grossness that so many people call broccoli ::)

Cucumbers and melons are both members of the curcubitacea, what I call the "spiny vines that grab your legs" family. Am I sleep deprived, or are squashes curcubitaceae as well? I think they are. But of course you cook them. Unfortunately I don't think you can cook cukes and melons but maybe that would help the burp-factor...
(I AM sleep deprived, however.) :'(
I like the way passionfruit smells, but not the taste. Which is totally strange as they say taste is mostly smell. I just find it disappointing.
BTW did you know that black olives are not naturally black? Ripe olives are a sort of purplish colour (like Kalamatas)--they look unpleasantly bruised. So the black olives are treated with some sort of chemical to make them turn black like that. It also makes them firm, so they don't get soft and mushy like ripe Kalamatas usually are. That may account for the odd taste some have noted.
I guess I'm one of the last to chime in here:
I don't like beets and most veggies that come out of a tin can but I like most fresh or frozen ones. That's about the only thing I can think of. I haven't tried fennel yet but I'm planning on trying it. I just have to go shopping without my DH so I can buy it! He's talked me out of buying it a couple of times! :D
As for fruit, I can't stand cherries. I think that's because my mom forced too much cherry-flavored cough syrup down me as a kid. Creomulsion, I think it was called.
Thank you so much for that I hate cilantro website! I seriously love ALL fruits and vegetables, except cilantro is the only vegan food I can think of that I can NOT stand. I feel like I am eating some type of cleaning product when I taste cilantro... I wonder if there is some type of gene that us cilantro-haters have that makes us hate it so much... Kind of like the people that can produce "asparagus pee" lol... I read that only certain people can do that...
Favorites: Avocado, eggplant, mushroom, carrots, peas, edamame, cucumber, tomato, asparagus (yes I make the pee), brussels sprouts, broccoli, corn (on the cob), cauliflower, jicama, beets, squash, kale, spinach, red pepper, garlic... Apples, bananas, oranges, melon (all), berries (all), grapes, pineapple, grapefruit....
ohhh im getting hungry...
Papaya, Black olives, brussel sprouts, spinach, figs, beets, peaches, pears.
OK....so I didn't seperate them into veggies and fruits, but I dislike all the above items. Blech!

Really? You mean when your pee has a strong color and smells funny after eating asparagus? I thought that happened to everyone... ???
I think I am the only person I know who doesn't like pears!
Nope. Pears are my least favorite fruit. Too gritty.
I wasn't sure what to say about veggies until someone reminded me of okra! Bleah.
OMG stop the hate! All veggies and fruits are beautiful and tasty!!!!
:D
Ok, I'm being silly. I just don't like frozen veggies. I used to think I hated eggplants, but in the right recipe, they're pretty good. And I hate peeling mangoes. And I don't think I gave Okras a good enough try. But that's about it.
Love your veggies!
Fungi - mushrooms of all kinds.
Fruits - Olives, grapefruits, pepperoncinis, jalapeños
Vegetables - iceberg lettuce, lima beans
